WOD Doc: Mobility Solution for the Ankle (Achilles, Part 2)

In this video, Dr. Tim treats the demo who has calf and Achilles-related pain. In a previous video, we learned how to address the Achilles with a barbell. Also, don’t forget to check out the 4-part mini-series on Ankle Mobility.
Here, we turn up the volume: In this episode, we re-address Achilles and calf pain by anchoring the foot with a hexagon weight. This allows the foot to remain in plantar flexion whilst we use a barbell to strip out the adhesions. Traditional CrossFit, or bumper plates are too big, so put on the smaller guys or change the angle of your knee to allow for the movement to hit the calf adequately.
