WOD Doc: Desk Pain Solution for the Neck & Headaches
Episode 105: Whether you sit at work at a desk all day, or tore up that workout, many times we develop pain in our neck. This can be on one side, or both, which can also cause headaches, particularly as the day goes on.
Using a softer ball (lacrosse balls work well here too), perform 15 clockwise and 15 anti-clockwise rotations at the mastoid and at the attachment site near your collar bone, or clavicle. Relax the neck as much as possible to get safely nice and deep into the tissue. Then work the middle tissues, being careful not to hit any vascular or neurological tissues.
